Since the opening of the German pharmacy market to the mail order business, medpex has recorded continuous high growth. TIM INTRALOG. has accompanied the optimization and expansion of medpex logistics for many years. In line with growth and customer requirements, the logistics processes and the degree of automation have been gradually adapted. By now medpex is using an order forwarding conveyor system with an integrated central belt system. medpex relies on state-of-the-art storage and conveyor technology. Every month 350,000 parcels are processed at the distribution center.

Würth Elektronik eiSos is currently implementing the second expansion of their warehouse in Waldenburg/Germany with the realization experts of TIM INTRALOG. An investment of EUR 25 million will double throughput and storage capacities for future growth. As conveyor system and building have already been prepared for this expansion, the impact on running operations is reduced to a minimum.

Since the beginning of 2018, Marco Krämer and Nils Bernhard share the responsibility for TIM CONSULT’s Intralogistics and Warehouse Logistics business unit. As before, Marco Krämer will focus on the planning of complex projects, Nils Bernhard will concentrate on realization and ramp-up management. Together, they manage warehouse audits, outsourcing, process optimizations and much more. Furthermore, they will develop additional growth of the warehouse consulting activities.

Frieder Töpfer, former Head of Warehouse Logistics and Co-shareholder has taken over new tasks on management level. He established the business unit in 2002 and has since led its strong international growth.

In planning for this transition, Mr. Töpfer stated: “I am pleased to leave the field to my colleagues. Marco Krämer and Nils Bernhard joined TIM CONSULT as young professionals. During many years of cooperation, they have gained deep experience and have become acknowledged experts in their fields as well as loyal and highly motivated colleagues.
